Manuscript on paper, in a single secretary hand, of this Englishman's description of the land and people of the Low Countries, including comments upon their character, fashion, diet, work habits, and religious and political practices. The government is described as "a democracy, and there had need be many to rule such a rabble of rude ones"(p. 29).
